Exercise Brass Tacks, 2021 was conducted successfully at the Defence Services Command and Staff College from Tuesday 27 April through to Saturday 01 May 2021.

The exercise is the first tactical exercise of the second term where the student officers will hone their warfighting skill across a range of operations. Exercise Brass Tacks is a battle group level exercise with a focus on execution of defensive operations. Students of the Army wing took part in the exercise and participated in a Tactical Exercise without Troops (TEWT) in general area Gampaha.

At the end of the exercise, students attempted a mock Red Ink Correction (RIC) examination based on the exercise scenario.
