The opening remarks of Defence Services Command and Staff College Course No 16 was delivered by the Commandant Major General IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc on 05 January 2022. The course is comprised of a total of 149 Student Officers of which 78 from the Sri Lanka Army, 26 from the Sri Lanka Navy, 26 from the Sri Lanka Air Force and 19 Students Officers from eleven friendly foreign countries.

The Commandant, Major General IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc welcomed the Student Officers while highlighting the importance of following the Staff Course and emphasized the importance of being inspired with discipline, integrity and loyalty in the military life.

The speech was delivered at the main auditorium of the DSCSC and the Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructors of Army, Navy and Air Wing, members of the faculty and Student Officers of DSCSC Course No 16 attended the event.
