Defence Services Command and Staff College celebrated the Independence Day of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh together with three Bangladeshi Student Officers of DSCSC Course No 16 (Wg Cdr Mahmud Ahmed, Cdr Shaikh Imtiaz Firoz and Maj Fahim Hasnain).

Going through a nine months long liberation war, People’s Republic of Bangladesh declared its independence on 26th March 1971 and today they celebrated their 52nd Independence Day. Three officers representing People’s Republic of Bangladesh proudly presented the legacy of their country and the significance of the diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to the audience and extended their heartfelt gratitude for organizing a special event by the College to mark this remarkable day. The event was graced by Maj Gen IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc, the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Chief Instructors, members of the faculty, members of the permanent staff and local and foreign Student Officers of the DSCSC Course No 16.
