Defence Services Command and Staff College celebrated the Independence Day of the Republic of Senegal today in the morning together with Senegal Officer of the ongoing course, LCdr Goumalo SALL.
Going through three centuries of French colonization, Republic of Senegal declared its independence on 04th April1960 from France and today they celebrated their 62nd Independence Day. The officer representing Republic of Senegal proudly presented the legacy of their country and the relationship between Senegal and Sri Lanka to the audience and extended his heartfelt gratitude for organizing a special event by the College to mark this remarkable day. The event was graced by Maj Gen IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc, the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Chief Instructors, members of the faculty, members of the permanent staff and local and foreign Student Officers of the DSCSC Course No 16.
