In a vibrant display of unity and cultural richness, the Defense Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) hosted its annual International Flag Ceremony that welcomed international student officers of the course no 18 representing 12 countries: People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Republic of India, Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, Republic of Maldives, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Rwanda, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Republic of Senegal United States of America and Republic of Zambia into the global family of military scholars on 30 January 2024.
The Commandant, Maj Gen Lasantha Rodrigo graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest and all Wing Heads, members of the faculty and the permanent staff, attended the event fostering international collaboration within the DSCSC community.
The ceremony recognized the invaluable contributions of international student officers who bring with them a wealth of cultural, strategic, and experiential insights. The flags, raised with pride symbolized not only the nations but also the shared commitment to collaboration and mutual understanding.
The International Flag Ceremony set the tone beyond the academic realm, promoting the cultural exchange and mutual respect that bestowed an opportunity for students to learn from one another, fostering relationships for an academic year filled with shared learning and cross-cultural interactions.
