INTERNATIONAL DAY – 2025

The Defence Services Command and Staff College marked its International Day – 2025 with a vibrant celebration on Sunday, 11 May, 2025, held at the College premises. The Commandant, Major General HHKSS Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, honoured the event as the Chief Guest. A highlight of the academic calendar, this year’s International Day showcased the rich diversity embodied by both the international and local participants of Course Number 19, which includes representatives from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, and Zambia. The event was also graced by the presence of esteemed diplomatic figures, including the Defence Attachés of Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan, as well as the Defence Advisor of the Maldives in Sri Lanka.

The spirit of the day centered on cultural exchange, with foreign participants sharing their unique traditions, captivating customs, and delectable cuisines, while Sri Lankan heritage was proudly displayed. The meticulously arranged stalls, a collaborative effort of both international and local course members, offered glimpses into the distinct cultures of their respective nations. Adding to the festive atmosphere were captivating performances by a dance troupe from the Indian Cultural Centre, solo artistic presentations from Bangladesh, China, and Indonesia, and an impressive display of traditional music and dance by the Sri Lankan tri-services.
