A delegation of nine Faculty Members of DSCSC Mirpur, Bangalesh, led by the Commandant, Major General Mohammed Jubayer Salehin SUP, ndu, psc visited the DSCSC Sri Lanka from 14 August to 24 Aug 2021, to conduct the Joint Warfare Workshop on Strategic Analysis and Campaign Planning Process which is an annual event. The delegation was comprised with Brig Gen Abul Hasnat Mohammad Tariq ndu afwc psc, Gp Capt ATM Irfanur Rahman psc, Lt Col Tariq Mahmud psc Inf, Lt Col Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan afwc psc, Inf Lt Col Sayeed Kabir psc ASC, Cdr Muhammad Rafiqul Islam Khokan NPP psc, Wg Cdr Chowdhury Abul Barkat acsc psc, Maj Nafiz Imtiaz Arty.
The objective of this Joint Warfare Workshop was to impart knowledge on the Planning Process at Strategic, Military Strategic and Operational level using strategic analysis and operational art and design. This DS guided joint exercise has facilitated the Student Officers a unique opportunity to comprehend the strategic analysis and identify the campaign planning tools as part of the activities of the National Security Council and Chief of Defence Staff. Student Officers displayed a great enthusiasm to find viable options to simulated strategically complex situations which was novel subject to them. Workshop was conducted successfully and culminated with fruitful and effective presentations by Student Officers.
Head of the Delegation, Major General Mohammed Jubayer Salehin, paid courtesy calls on Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Sri Lanka Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and Commandant DSCSC Major General IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc. On completion of the Joint Warfare Workshop, the delegation was facilitated with a visit covering down south under strict COVID preventive measures.
