The Model Discussion on Defensive Operations was conducted on 06 March 2024 at DSCSC Eastern Model Room. This discussion aimed to enhance the knowledge of Student Officers of Army Wing on the fundamentals of Defensive Operations and develop their planning skills in the context of a brigade level Defensive Operations under a divisional setting. The discussion began with a briefing by the Sponsor Directing Staff in the morning at 0800 hours and lasted until 1220 hours. The discussion covered all important aspects of planning and conducting Defensive Operations. The event generated healthy debates and constructive arguments during the discussion of different syndicates.

The Model Discussion provided an ideal platform for most of the Student Officers to sharpen their planning and briefing skills. Foreign Student Officers also participated with enthusiasm and brought out their unique thoughts on the subject, adding more glamour to the exercise.

The Head of the Training Team of the Army Wing summed up the discussion, emphasizing the importance of developing planning skills for effective Defensive Operations. The event was a great success in achieving its objectives and providing a unique learning experience for the participating Student Officers.
