Exercise Shadow Dance is a tactical level joint Command Post Exercise aimed at practicing Student Officers in planning and execution of offensive and defensive operations as Sri Lankan forces and Videsh forces. It is one of the most important exercises and, the only exposure of conducting wargame in joint nature during the course. This year, the exercise was conducted over a period of eight days from 18 June to 25 June 2021.
Student Officers’ plans were effectively tried and tested for worthiness during the CPX. At the end of the CPX, Student Officers conducted a realistic press briefing before a set of Journalists. This briefing paved way for them to understand the conduct themselves in the domain of media, and art of handling journalists. Army Student Officers concluded the exercise with a RIC.
