On 4^th March 2024, as per the academic calendar of DSCSC Course No 18, the Student Officers visited the Parliament of Sri Lanka, Ministry of Defence and Army Headquarters. Students Officers were briefed on the parliamentary procedures and the basic functions of the parliamentary system at the Sri Lanka Parliament.  The visit to the Ministry of Defence offered an opportunity for Student Officers to comprehend the functions of the Ministry along with a comprehensive briefing on the current situation of the country. As the last event of the day, Student Officers visited the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters. During the visit, the Student Officers were able to gather knowledge about the functions of the Army Headquarters with a wide ranging on the current progress of the restructuring process of the Sri Lanka Army. To mark the event the Commandant of DSCSC Maj Gen Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG exchanged mementoes with the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Maj Gen Harendra Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu.
