WAR STUDIES PRESENTATIONS BY JOINT SYNDICATES -TERM TWO

The War Studies remains a key component of the DSCSC curriculum, designed to enhance critical thinking and joint warfighting understanding, and to understand how the theoretical knowledge gained throughout Term Two has been applied in past wars and operations.

In this backdrop, the DSCSC conducted War Studies Presentations on 21 and 22 July 2026, marking the culmination of the Term Two curriculum.

The event aimed to develop the analytical skills of Course Participants on past wars and battles, and to draw lessons applicable to modern operations/joint operations.

A total of 14 joint syndicates presented their analysis on land battles, naval battles, and air battles. Each syndicate examined the planning, execution, and outcomes of historical engagements, with a focus on decisive points and leadership decisions with other theoretical teachings such as operational framework and manoeuvrist approach to warfare.

The presentations were held in the presence of the Commandant and Chief Instructors. The Course Participants briefed the Faculty and the course, demonstrating their research findings and presentation skills.
